Paragon is supporting an international oil & gas company in the search for a Projects Interface Manager position in Egypt.

This is a strategic role serving as the critical link between the company’s Joint Venture (JV), internal departments, and external contractors. This high-impact role, operates with broad autonomy to synchronize complex workstreams across the full EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning) scope and is responsible for building the collaborative framework that ensures technical alignment, minimizes conflict, and keeps project milestones on track.

Location: Cairo, Egypt
 
Job Purpose 
The Project Interface Manager serves as the central integrator for the EPIC scope, responsible for identifying, coordinating, and resolving all technical and organizational touchpoints between the Company’s Joint Venture (JV), various internal work streams, and external contractors. 
The role includes strategic alignment, operational coordination, process goverance and reporting, ensures seamless flow of information and prevents  gaps or overlaps that could impact the project’s budget, safety, or schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Interface between the company’s JV and Contractor(s)
  • Identify and define Interfaces at earliest opportunity.
  • Responsible for managing the necessary interactions across multiple work streams for the EPIC scope.
  • Acts as the interface between the different departments within the company’s JV and develop an interface coordinators list.
  • Manage both internal and external sources of information and interfaces according to the project scope and schedule.
  • Initiate regular scheduled technical interface coordination meetings with appropriate participants to discuss the matrix and proposed resolutions.
  • Document according to the  interface management plan the request and exchange of design documents that support interface resolution.
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities for Contractor(s) to limit conflict.
  • Standardize and coordinate procedures between the company and Contractor(s).
  • Represent the project where appropriate to Contractor(s), consulting companies and service providers as appropriate to the needs of the work for all interface requirements.
Reporting
  • Prepare processes and procedures for interface management to enhance the current Company’s processes and procedures.
  • Review, address and report on interface issues as they arise

Job Factors

Minimum Education 
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

The minimum years of experience required 
Minimum 10 years within the oil and gas industry 

Skills:
  • Strategic Autonomy: Proven ability to operate independently under broad guidelines, translating high-level goals into actionable interface project plans.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Expert at navigating non-standard, analytical challenges and exercising independent judgment in high-stakes environments.
  • EPIC Lifecycle Expertise: Deep technical understanding of the Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning (EPIC) phases, specifically for offshore projects.
  • JV Governance & Diplomacy: Skilled at acting as the primary nexus between Joint Venture partners, ensuring alignment between diverse corporate cultures and internal departments.
  • Conflict Mitigation & Negotiation: Ability to define clear Roles and Responsibilities to eliminate scope gaps and resolve commercial or technical issues between contractors.
  • Technical Facilitation: Experienced in chairing Interface Coordination Meetings and driving consensus among multi-disciplinary Subject Matter Experts.
  • Executive Representation: High-level communication skills to represent project interests to contractors, consulting firms, and service providers.
