Paragon is looking for a Field Project Manager for a staff position with an E&P company in Egypt.

Job Purpose
Manage, control and co-ordinate all Projects activities including its dealings with all contractors and subcontractors

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Manage, control and co-ordinate all Projects activities including its dealings with all contractors and subcontractors in accordance with the Joint Venture By-laws.
  2. Ensure that all Joint Venture HSE Standards are rigorously enforced.
  3. Conduct daily/weekly coordination meetings with all parties involved in the Projects activities to ensure alignment on priorities, appropriate communication of risks and confirm plans for future work.
  4. Track the right Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with the Contractor(s) and intervene when adverse trends are identified.
  5. Understand the operational risks in Joint Venture and ensure appropriate plans are in place and resources prioritized to assist in addressing them.
  6. Assist in the preparation of Projects and Engineering Department work programs and budgets covering the activities to be implemented.
  7. Ensure that all Projects activities are completed with due regard to Code of Ethics and that any deviations from same are properly highlighted.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 12 years in engineering and project management, with progressively increasing leadership responsibilities.
  • Operates independently under broad guidelines. Incumbents have broad responsibility for planning, organizing and prioritizing work. Active control by the supervisor is only exercised on longer term goals and policy issues.
  • Duties involve the interpretation and application of organization policy. Work is broad in scope, covers one or more areas and may impact other departments. Independent judgment is required as the incumbent operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
  • The willingness and ability to rotate to and from the area in order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position.
  • Experience with offshore, brownfield projects and resources in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in projects design, engineering and construction as well as management.
  • Strong knowledge of project management competencies.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a Joint Venture environment.
  • Frequent communication across departments, particularly with project end users.
